Annual Benefit Statement and Newsletter for Deferred Members

The Fund has posted 2009 Annual Benefit Statements to members who have either left their benefits behind on taking a job outside Local Government or elected to keep their benefits separate upon starting a new scheme membership whilst still employed in Local Government. The Statement updates you on the current value of the benefits you have left within the Scheme, taking into account the annual inflationary increase on 6 April 2009.
In past years, deferred members have received copies of ‘Scheme Scene’ and ‘beeline’- newsletters which occasionally contained articles of relevance to members with deferred benefits, but primarily focussed on the issues affecting contributing LGPS members’ benefits. From now on, you will receive enclosed with your Annual Benefit Statement, an annual newsletter called ‘The Hive’, specifically covering those matters concerning deferred members.
