What benefits will be payable if I die in service?
If you die in service, the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) ensures that your family is supported. It provides:
- a lump sum death grant
- an ongoing survivor's pension for your husband, wife, civil partner or nominated cohabiting partner
- children's pensions for your eligible children
